The product presents a serious risk of fire because the plug face does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and the supplied fuse is considered counterfeit and does not have a ballast. A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Without a fuse, the product may overheat and catch fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc (Safety) Regulations 1994.
