What the authority reported

The product presents a high risk of fire as the fuse was not provided with any granular filler to ensure safe operation under fault conditions. The supply cord is also an inadequate size and failed the electric strength test, which may result in overheating or a breakdown between the input and output circuit. The product also requires improvements to the documentation, markings and instructions. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
