What the authority reported
Due to a software error in the 360° panorama camera control unit, the reverse camera may briefly ‘freeze’ during reversing. Also, when the car is started again, the camera picture may possibly not be displayed. This could increase the risk of an accident involving persons while reversing. These persons may suffer injuries.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
