What the authority reported
The rubber in the balloons releases an excessive amount of nitrosatable substances (measured value 12.91 mg/kg), from which nitrosamines can be formed. Nitrosamines can cause cancer if swallowed or through skin contact. A child could be exposed to them if they touch the product or put it in their mouth.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
