What the authority reported
The product has an excessive concentration of lead (measured value: 2.6% by weight). Lead is harmful to human health, accumulates in the body, can induce developmental neurotoxicity and can also harm unborn or breast-fed children. The rate of nickel release is too high (measured value up to 3.2 µg/cm2/week). Nickel is a strong sensitiser and causes allergic reactions if present in articles that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin.
