What the authority reported
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2024-734.
Issue: On certain motorcycles, the rear brake line may not be secured correctly. As a result, the brake line could become damaged by contact with the exhaust. This could lead to a brake fluid leak and cause reduced braking.
Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: Harley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the clamp on the rear brake line.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
Record last checked against the registry on 2026-10-23.
