What the authority reported
Issue: On certain trucks, a spacer installed between the seat frame and the seat belt buckle may cause the seat belt to slip and not to work properly in a crash.
Safety Risk: A seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to remove the spacer(s) and replace the bolt(s).
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
