What the authority reported

Issue: Due to a manufacturing issue, the tire sidewall could bubble and separate, causing a loss of tire pressure. As a result, the tires don't meet the minimum performance requirements of Canadian regulations. Note: This recall only affects certain Goodride ST 200 tires manufactured from April 17th 2023 to June 25th 2023 with the marking DOT 1JU MR2A2T.

Safety Risk: A loss of tire pressure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected tires have been sold or installed on any vehicles and all have been destroyed.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
