What the authority reported
Issue: On certain motorcycles, the nut that attaches the brake pipe to the antilock braking system (ABS) unit may not have been properly tightened. As a result, brake fluid could leak and cause reduced braking.
Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: Suzuki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to tighten the brake pipe flare nut and inspect for brake fluid leakage. Brake fluid will be added, if necessary.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
