What the authority reported

This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2024-239.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the circuit board for the LED light rings on the cooktop knobs could fail. As a result, the wiring and/or LED lights could overheat and melt. Note: This recall only affects RV trailers equipped with certain Suburban cooktops.

Safety Risk: Wiring and/or lights that overheat and melt can create the risk of a fire.

Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. To reduce the safety risk, Winnebago recommends that you should disconnect the power for your trailer when it's not used.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
