What the authority reported
Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver may not be able to turn on the high beam headlamps if the light switch is in the "AUTO" position. Note: This recall affects Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models.
Safety Risk: High beam headlamps that don't turn on may cause reduced visibility and could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
