Safety Risk: A sudden increase in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the serial number on the steering gear and, if necessary, replace it.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
