What the authority reported
Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the nut for the 12 V main disconnect switch may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the nut could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks).
Safety Risk: A short circuit or electrical arcing can create the risk of a fire or injury.
Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to replace the 12 V main disconnect.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
