What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles, the power cable(s) in the fuse box may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the cable(s) could become loose and overheat. If this happens, the engine could stall and the headlamps and/or the power steering assist could stop working.

Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Wiring that overheats could create the risk of a fire. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort. Headlamps that stop working could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Aston Martin will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fasteners for the power cables. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace any damaged parts.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
