What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles, the seals in the electric motor may have been damaged during production. As a result, oil could leak inside the motor. If this happens, it could cause the vehicle to enter a fail-safe mode and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the front motor assembly.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
