What the authority reported
Issue: On certain snowmobiles, the cross pin on the steering column may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the pin could loosen or fall out and cause a loss of steering control.
Safety Risk: A loss of steering could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: Arctic Cat will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect the cross pin and, if necessary, replace the steering column.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
