What the authority reported
Issue: On certain aerial devices, the hydraulic feeder tube could become damaged by contact with the cylinder rest bracket. As a result, the feeder tube could leak oil. If this happens, there could be an uncontrolled movement of the boom.
Safety Risk: Uncontrolled boom movement could increase the risk of injury to the operator and nearby people.
Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to inspect and, if necessary, replace the cylinder rest pad and feeder tube. To reduce the safety risk, Altec advises to periodically inspect the feeder tube for signs of damage until the recall repairs are completed.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
Record last checked against the registry on 2026-10-22.
