What the authority reported

Issue: On certain school buses, the warning sound for the emergency exits may not work properly. As a result, the driver may not be aware that an emergency exit is not properly closed and latched.

Safety Risk: An open emergency exit could increase the risk of injuries in a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
