What the authority reported

Issue: This recall is for replacement brackets that connect the aerial basket to the boom. The replacement brackets may not be compatible with the original aerial basket retaining pins. As a result, if both basket retaining pins fail, the basket could tip. Note: This recall is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. The part number for the affected replacement brackets is 626478.

Safety Risk: An aerial basket that tips suddenly could create a risk of injury to the operator and people nearby.

Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with parts and instructions for how to replace the retaining pins. If you have questions about repairing your unit, you should contact your local Terex Utilities dealer.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
