What the authority reported

Issue : On certain trucks, the bolts that attach the driver and front passenger seat and seat belts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the seat(s) and/or seat belt(s) could loosen or detach in a crash. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with optional RollTek seats.

Safety Risk: A seat and/or seat belt that loosens or detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Action: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the driver and front passenger seat and seat belt bolts.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
