What the authority reported

Issue: On certain side-by-side UTVs, the front and rear passenger seat belt bracket(s) may not have been properly welded. As a result, the seat belt(s) could detach.

Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches could create an increased risk of injury.

Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Polaris advises that you shouldn't transport passengers until the recall repairs have been completed. Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your side-by-side to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the seat belt crossbar(s).

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
