What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles, some negative terminals in the high-voltage battery may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, a terminal and/or bus bar could break and cause electrical arcing (sparks). Note: This recall only affects hybrid (FHEV) models.

Safety Risk: Electrical arcing can create the risk of a fire or injury.

Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-voltage battery module.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
