What the authority reported

Issue: On certain RV trailers, certain 12 V wiring may not have proper circuit protection. Additionally, the wiring for the solar controller may be too small. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips.

Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats or melts could create the risk of a fire.

Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring.
