What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong dash wiring harness may have been installed during production. As a result, the trailer lights may not work. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with the trailer tow option.

Safety Risk: Trailer lights that don't work could make the trailer less visible and cause following drivers not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the dash wiring harness.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
