What the authority reported
Issue: On certain buses, the remote fuel filter hoses may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, a fuel hose could disconnect and fuel could leak. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Note: This recall only affects buses equipped with certain L9 diesel engines.
Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: New Flyer will notify owners by email and advise you to take your bus to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the remote fuel filter hoses.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
Record last checked against the registry on 2026-10-23.
