What the authority reported

Issue: On certain Ranger XP Kinetic side-by-sides, a part inside the high-voltage charging system could crack. As a result, water could enter the high-voltage charging system harness and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Polaris will provide you with precautions to take until the recall repairs are completed. Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your side-by-side to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the charging harness. The dealer will also install a cover to help prevent water from entering the charging system.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
