What the authority reported

Issue: On certain side-by-side UTVs, the bolts securing the seat belts may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the seat belts could loosen or detach in a crash.

Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury.

Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Kawasaki advises that you shouldn't use your UTV until the recall repairs are completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your UTV to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace or tighten the seat belt bolts.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
