What the authority reported

Issue: On certain electric trucks, an electrical connection in the sub-junction box could overheat. If this happens, a warning light would turn on and there could be a loss of power to the wheels.

Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the sub-junction box. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the wiring harness, motor and/or inverter.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
