What the authority reported

Issue: Certain child car seats may not meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations when installed in a rear-facing position using the vehicle seat belt and tether. Safety Risk: A child seat that doesn't meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Evenflo will notify registered owners in writing and provide you with a remedy kit. Evenflo advises that you may continue to use the seat in a rear-facing position if you install it using the universal anchorage system (UAS). You can also continue to use the seat in the forward-facing position. You should contact Evenflo to obtain a free remedy kit and instructions for how to install it. If you have not yet registered your seat, have moved, or have any questions about this recall, you can contact Evenflo by phone at: 1-937-773-3971 or 1-800-265-0749, or online at: https://registration.evenflo.com/evenflo/ca/carseats
