What the authority reported

Issue: On certain school buses, the transmission shift actuator may not have been calibrated properly. As a result, you may not be able to shift the transmission into the reverse ("R") position.

Safety Risk: A transmission that can't be shifted into reverse could increase the risk of an injury or a crash.

Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to replace the transmission shift actuator.
