What the authority reported

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the safety stop for the outdoor griddle may not have been installed. As a result, the griddle can be stowed with the propane hose still attached, and the burner(s) turned on.

Safety Risk: An outdoor griddle that is stowed away with the burner turned on could create a fire risk.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected RV trailers have been delivered to customers. Forest River will instruct dealers to inspect and, if necessary, install a lock to prevent the griddle from being stowed while the propane line is still attached. This will be done before the RV trailers are delivered.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
