What the authority reported
Issue: On certain trucks, the passenger-side seat belt anchor may not have been secured to the floor properly. As a result, the seat belt could detach in a crash.
Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reinforce the passenger-side seat belt anchor.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
