What the authority reported
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2026-241.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, metal debris could cause the crankshaft bearings to fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.4L twin-turbo engine. This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada Recall No. 2024-304.
Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
