What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles, the sidewall of the tire(s) may have been damaged during manufacturing. As a result, the sidewall could fail and cause a sudden loss of air pressure. Note: This recall only affects certain cutaway chassis vehicles equipped with General Grabber HTS LT225/75R16E or Bridgestone V-Steel RIB R265 LT245/75R16E tires.

Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the affected tire(s).
