What the authority reported

Issue: On certain school buses, the body panels on the side emergency door(s) may not have been attached correctly. As a result, the bus may not meet the joint strength requirements of Canadian regulations, and the panels could separate in a crash. Note: This recall only affects certain school buses equipped with either a left or a right-side emergency door.

Safety Risk: A body joint that separates in a crash could increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, add screws to the interior joints.
