What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver-front airbag inflator may not have been properly welded. As a result, the airbag module could separate from the steering wheel when it deploys in a crash.

Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Action: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver-front airbag inflator.
