What the authority reported

Ranger vehicles have been manufactured using a front wiper motor linkage that could potentially fracture due to a manufacturing quality issue. In some circumstances a fractured wiper arm linkage will reduce the visual performance through the passenger side of the windshield below levels required to maintain vehicle compliance. Remedy: Inspect and replace if required

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
