What the authority reported

The wrong brake line hose may have been installed on the right rear. The longer brake line could create a touch condition with the rear wheel which could in turn cause a brake fluid leak. In the event of a leak you may notice a soft brake pedal feel and a red warning light will illuminate in the cluster. The brake system has two separate diagonal brake line circuits and in the event of one brake line circuit failure the vehicle is able to stop with the functionality of the secondary brake circuit. If the brake lines on both sides were to fail it may lead to a loss of brake function. Remedy: Inspect and replace with correct hose.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
