What the authority reported

On affected vehicles the second-row centre seat belt buckle may have been manufactured incorrectly. An internal obstruction to the seat belt tongue can prevent correct latching. In the event of a crash an insecurely latched seat belt buckle could increase the risk of personal injury. Remedy: Vehicles will have the centre seat belt buckle and buckle retaining bolt replaced.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
