What the authority reported
On affected vehicles there may be a defect present in the fuel tank threads which could potentially lead to a fuel leak. Remedy: Check the blown-molding engraved date marking date at the bottom of the fuel tank and replace the lock nut and O-ring if necessary.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
