What the authority reported
On affected vehicles in the event of a crash that triggers the passenger airbag the inflator tube may rupture. The rupture can result in metal fragmentation damage to the airbag cushion complete loss of airbag functionality and an increased risk of injury or death. Remedy: Replace the passenger airbag.
