What the authority reported
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the battery has a thermal fuse which is not fitted adequately to the motor. This means that under fault conditions, the battery management system may fail to operate as intended and may overheat and/or explode. Improvements are also required to product marking and labelling. This product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
