What the authority reported
Unsuitable docking between the platform supporting the steering gear housing and the intermediate steering column shaft can damage the steering housing at the torque sensor. This can break an internal component of the steering gear housing, reducing the steering power and increase the risk of accident.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
