What the authority reported

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the furnace may turn on and off too often (short cycle). As a result, the furnace burn chamber could overheat and crack. If this happens, carbon monoxide could build-up inside the motorhome when the furnace is used.

Safety Risk: A build-up of carbon monoxide inside the trailer could result in carbon monoxide poisoning.

Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the furnace until the recall repairs are completed.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
