What the authority reported

Issue: On certain school buses equipped with seats mounted on rails, the wrong hardware may have been used to attach the seats. As a result, the seats could move or detach in a crash. Note: This recall only affects certain school buses equipped with two-place seats and seat belts.

Safety Risk: A seat that moves or detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a Micro Bird dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the seat fasteners.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
