What the authority reported

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the bolts for the pin box may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the bolts could loosen, and the pin box could detach from the tow vehicle. Note: This recall only affects certain fifth wheel trailers equipped with a Curt Helux pin box.

Safety Risk: A trailer that separates from the tow vehicle could create the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected trailers have been delivered to customers. Keystone will instruct dealers to tighten the pin box bolts before each trailer is delivered.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
