What the authority reported

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the pins for the rear gate and/or the support bracket for the patio steps may be missing. As a result, the gate and/or the steps could move and cause a person to fall.

Safety Risk: A gate and/or steps that moves could create a risk of injury.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected trailers have been delivered to customers. Keystone will instruct dealers to install the missing gate pins and/or support bracket before the trailers are delivered. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone advises you to check for missing rear gate pins and/or a missing patio leg support bracket. If either are missing, you shouldn't use the patio until the recall repairs have been completed.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
