What the authority reported

Issue: On certain vehicles converted for wheelchair access by BraunAbility, the occupant restraint tie-down pucks may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the tie-down pucks could become loose and detach in a crash.

Safety Risk: Tie-down pucks that detach in a crash could increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Actions: BraunAbility will notify owners by mail and advise you to take you vehicle to a BraunAbility service center to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the occupant restraint tie-down pucks.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
