What the authority reported

Issue: On certain buses equipped with power-assisted doors, the rod-eye ring could delaminate. As a result, the rod attached to the door panels could separate from the opening gear and become loose. If this happens, the door panel(s) could open unexpectedly.

Safety Risk: A door that opens unexpectedly could increase the risk of injury to passengers and others.

Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the rod-eye ring.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
