What the authority reported
On affected vehicles the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) may not be able to be activated. In the worst case this can lead to unintentional self-braking due to premature activation of the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) without there being anything in front of the vehicle. This is due to a metal sticker stuck in front of the radar module. Remedy: Check for the sticker in the radar zone and remove it if necessary.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
